Kurt Vonnegut is real comfy, very witty. Try Cat's Cradle

I started reading them as a kid but there's quite a lot of sexual innuendo, and a lot of word play that went over my head untik I reread some later.

He has written kids books, and the last few of the Discworld books were aimed at them.

Yeah, I think he did that for parents to read to their children

Did you finish that? End's kind of a downer.

This is the one you want for similar humor, but positive and optimistic tone throughout.

Vonnegut is great (I'd start with the Sirens of Titan)
The Red Dwarf novels, particularly the first two
Also, Garth Marenghi's Terrortome just came out.

I vaguely remember it, because Ive read it 7-8 years ago, but that humouristic style sticked in my head. Ive focused more on some heavier themes ever since (currently Camus Plague) and I feel kinda depressed. Jovan Ducic, famous writer and poet from my country once said that one who looks for meaning and truth in philosophy and books will find nothing but darkness, the more he searches, the more dark it will be. I feel overwhelmed, just need lighter stuff

Definitely will try Vonnegut, saw him mentioned on other book forums as well
