He was a proto-patriarch.

there's a difference between confucius and neo-confucianism

>> No.2113689

anacronic implyonism is the neo-anonymistic memetic behavior

so typical

What does Neo-Confucianism mean to you?

Would you describe the current Chinese government as Neo-Confucian?

>> No.2114064

Plato was.

implyonism is not a word.

>>2113565
Sticking the word "proto" in front of other politically loaded words without argument is a wickedly sophomoric way of comparing ideologies.

Rather, understand that authoritarianism was the norm in the ancient world and thus the theory of fascism (as a contradistiction from the 20th century politcal trends of liberalism and socialism) was largely irrelevant. Ideas need context kid.

Also, you're an idiot. Plato was against democracy, that doesn't make him a fascist. Democracy back then wasn't republicanism now and there were a lot more reasons to be against it. Tyranny of the majority, mob rule, and all that

I like that Confucius was a slave, who thought slavery was justified.

Does that entirely nullify his contributions to philosophy? It strikes me that it really ought to.

>mfw people call Confucianism a religion

It says directly in the Analects that Confucius did not lecture on spiritual matters

How much clearer can it fucking get?

Truth, bro. Democracy is one of the worst things to happen to the individual since national socialism. Government by the people is still government and, by definition, restricts freedom.
