Valentine is his Valentine. Homosexuality as an analogue for Wyatt’s artistic impotence in the generation of art and the Calvinist fear toward originality and creation is really compelling stuff, tho the people I talked to about this book looked at me like I was schizo. I love this book unironically. Even when the characters are awful and I find them really well done
