I tried reading this and it was garbage. I don't even believe he really wrote it, read the acknowledgments and it seems his assistants ghostwrote it. Also he (or whoever wrote it) doesn't even understand the Peace of Westphalia which triggers my autism.

Fuck Kissinger, he's a brainlet.

Only one you need for geopolitics is Zeihan.

Almost all books about geopolitics are published for reasons of "public relations". If you want to know about geopolitics you have to know about all the ties and workings of finance, banking, capital, and big industry first and foremost. How states relate to each other is secondary especially nowdays.

It's just like in school: Jenny doesn't talk to Brenda because what happened last summer but Brenda does talk to Lisa (Jenny's best friend and science lab partner), however none of them talk to Johnny because he's violent and crazy. And so on and so forth. Boring shit.

You can't understand IR unless you are a king, and the only good book for a king is The Book (KJV). For us peasants the best way to approach our servile role in IR is through Ryan Holiday's "The Way, The Enemy, and The Key" trilogy.

It is more focused on domestic than international politics. Yes you can't understand one without the other, but I assume if OP is asking for books on "geopolitics" he would wants IR-forward works.

Only book you need.

>> No.21057250

Well, Thucydides is the square one. Zbigniew Brzezinski The Grand Chessboard is a great book to understand the US viewpoint about the world. Aleksander Dugin (PBUH) is a must. And if you can read in Spanish, I would suggest Pedro Baños and Alfredo Jalife works. Asia is a mystery for me, because the chinese don't translate their books that much.
