Nietzche had some good ideas but didn't live all of them himself because he was taking a lot of things to a logical extreme, and history since then has shown us that blind dedication to strength can lead to brutality. It's more than Christian morality that causes an aversion to brutality. It's basic empathy for other people. Personally, I think strength should only be pursued for self-defense and the defense of others. Otherwise mercy can make friends out of enemies and end cycles of violence.
