damn near perfect piece of literature with a great story attached to it. prose gets tricky at times but it's worthwhile.

yes. it is the greatest book i've ever read, by far.

the prose can indeed get tricky sometimes. but it's honestly not that bad. at worst, you have to re-read a sentence 2-3 times to parse it.

pro-tip: keep the online moby-dick annotation at hand while reading (http://www.powermobydick.com/).). it's not required that often, but sometimes you'll come across a critical obscure reference or term, and this will give you a quick and easy reference.
