What are you reading today, anon? Share interesting quotes, titles, books you can't wait to finish and books you can't wait to begin. How did you make time to read today?

I'll start: I finished two books today, one being a biography of Marie Antoinette and the other being a history book about the Italian Risorgimento. I'm starting Albion's Seed now (I'm on a history book kick lately!), and am slowly working through Science And Sanity by Korzybski. I gave up on my yearly book reading goal since I was too busy this summer to be on top of my usual schedule, but I'm definitely looking forward to the coming days. Since I am recovering from surgery I have lots of time to kill with my e-ink reader, after all.

Decided to read Common Sense by Thomas Paine on a whim and when I’m done with that I’m gonna start Pulp by Charles Bukowski. I don’t have the bandwidth for heavy reading right now and I’m feeling obnoxiously American .

I've been reading The Ink Black Heart after watching a feral pack of freaks review-bombing it online. The book's pretty good so far, ngl, I've never read Rowling's work, so I didn't know what to expect.

Shadow Country by Peter Matthiessen and White Noise by Don Delillo on the fiction side, Maxime Rodinson's biography of Muhammad on the nonfiction side.
Enjoying all 3 to be honest, but Shadow Country in particular. It's one nice piece of sweaty miskeeter-bitten southern gothic set in the Florida Keys.

Decided to buy The Fifth Science by Exurbia partly as a joke, but I've been enjoying it a lot. It's 12 short stories happening in a super futuristic human civilization, wasn't expecting for a world so interestingly made.
