Just finished the Culture series (loved it), recently completed the Three Body Problems series as well (also loved it), and I've ordered Willam Gibson's two most recent cyberpunk books (the Agency series). Anyone have any good scifi/cyberpunk recommendations? I've been reading a ton lately and I would really appreciate it.

I liked neuromancer and the two follow ups were eh; however, I like his writing style for cyberpunk so I'm hoping that maybe some of his latest books are okay

Well I'm on the third Revelation Space book right now. Kind of a dark, post apocalyptic setting. Not as good as the Culture series IMO

Do share your experience. That's a huge investment. Favorite book?

Hmmm... I really liked Excession because of the focus on Mind communication, it was a super unique book... Other than that, Look To Windward was really cozy because there was was so much of it that was just spent talking about life on the orbital.. Player of Games was also fun for the same reason too. All of the books were great on their own merits too. hbu, what was your favorite?

I enjoyed this series a lot
>he only wrote it because Iain Banks told him he doesn't have fun anymore

Yeah, cancel the Gibson books. Read Watts.
I was impressed with Blindopraxia but I'm wrapping up the Rifters trilogy right now and its amazing.

Its about sex offenders/offendees (they best fit the profile for the work) augmented to work for power companies harnessing geothermal from ocean vents, but is eventually about something else entirely. Watts really flexes his biology knowledge on this one (guy has like a phd in harbor seals, no really). Like Blindo, its hard sci-fi but having more to do with neurology than math or physics.
