I have been trying to get into reading and started with The Prince. It was very nice and I want more political works like it, but I have decided to put off Discourses for now. I am feeling like it’s a toss-up between Social Contract and Capital. Which one should I go first? Are there any more that I should consider?

If you're going to read the social contract you should read at least the second discourse first. I also wouldn't recommend jumping into Capital just yet as it is very dry and analytical (though Marx's humour shines through at times), very unlike the lively and anecdotal Machiavelli. If you liked Machiavelli's style, you will probably like Tocqueville.

Thanks for the helpful replies! The Second Discourse does sound interesting, and while I am not in much of a mood for the Greeks, the chart does give a me a lot of pointers.
