What will /lit/ be like in *the future* ?

Can't be much worse than it is now. Though I've said that before and was corrected
Only started coming here 4-ish years ago and it was alright then, good for talking about the books I was reading at the time.
Got steadily worse over time and I don't see it getting any better.
Making a thread about a book you happened to read recently will usually get little interaction, which is maybe to be expected, but seeing a thread about tiktok or twitter shit get 100+ replies by comparison shows that this board is pretty much dead.

This board, like the others, is a distraction, validating subculture interaction, but also mutual xenophobia in the guise of camaraderie.
Like anon says, posts on book discussion crash and burn.
It is simply a phenomenon, seductive because of the interactive gratification.
Satisfaction endlessly deferred, never forthcoming, because it is a "Patagonian basket weaving forum".

I've seen people call each and every board "dead" for the last ten years, maybe you're the one that changed.

They still won't be reading books.

The issue is that /lit/ is more "alive" than ever before in the sense that threads bump quickly
Just the quality of discussion has deteriorated greatly
