Is there any source of verifiably well-written books whose fault is a hint of immorality that have been sanitised? I've heard of 'Shakespeare for Kids'.
One good example is 1984 by George Orwell: it depicts the tyranny of evil and its modes and methods in way hitherto unparalleled, but it discusses sex in a sinful manner which ruins it as a children's book.
As Saint Paul said: "He who fails one part of the Law fails all of them [sic]".
There are no compromises, only concessions, and doctrine cannot be diluted.
