I definitely find phenomenology to be a worthy inquiry but it really didn't occur to me because I tend to look at things between materialist, spiritual, idealistic, and rational modes. I don't really think about my experience as something that really says a lot about reality outside of pure perception (which can be flawed or incomplete) and the implications it's mechanism or modus operandi has for it's creator or generator—whether natural or supernatural.
I suppose my confusion probably indicates I should look more into that stuff.

I'm married and my wife came down with COVID and was quarantined in the bedroom for about 5 days. Obviously his statement here belies what he's criticizing.
This statement is merely an example of him trying to protect himself from censure, as well as to anticipate political extremists who could latch onto him to justify their own ends. Both are inevitable, given that his philosophy borders onto the 'profane' territory of antisemitism.
People do it all the time, then and now. It's like saying race doesn't matter and people who focus on it are low-minded: when you know very well you don't have any black friends, you don't work with them, you don't live around them, and you don't want to - for obvious reasons.
