I never read any of these books but when I was in highschool I knew this guy who was really into Infinite Jest and he was super into the theater and listening to 60s music so for this reason I always associate the two things together, perhaps unfairly

Gravitys Rainbow is legimimately great,i would assume the same of ulysses. infinite jest has its moments but its definitely not that amazing, probably more noteworthy for its verbosity than anything else, David Foster Wallace was definitely a very depressive person who didn't seem like much fun.
