I like to imagine the characters in books as anime characters

If I see a movie based on a book I will never again be able to read it without picturing the actors in my head rather than creating my own imagery. I jsut can't do it.

I only read Dyring periode where I want to. I am therefore not a part of the distinguished literati illuminati because I don't read 5 hours a day. I am really sorry

Thank you autocorrect for mixing up several languages when I type

I write on every book I read with pencil. Underlining, in the margins and answer questions posed in the afterword on the empty pages.

I unironically believe that Moby Dick was (on some level) about homosexuality, and the more Melville I read the more certain I become of it

After I read a book I copy the author's prose in everything I write or type for about the next week afterwards until I forget their prose style. When I get around to reading Cormac McCarthy I'm afraid my posts will get deleted for violating 6b/e.

I stopped pretending to care about literature as soon as I dropped out of a PhD program that was funded but which didn’t give me a scholarship so I could spend money on alcohol and tobacco. Now I’m into tabletop and genre fiction.
People who know me but don’t read think I’m a super serious literary type. It’s pretty amusing.

I bought a good bit of the /lit/ Top 100 years ago and still haven't read them. My Kindle has hundreds and hundreds of pirated EPUBs and PDFs I have yet to touch. I haven't read anything since highschool. All of my knowledge on literature, history and philosophy is from lurking here and I still go around pretending like I know what I'm talking about in threads and to friends IRL who think I'm very intelligent and well read. I mainly watch films and think cinema is the superior medium.

I stole a copy of Bergson’s Time and Free Will from the library. I ripped off the barcode sensor and didn’t check it out.
