How do you feel about the fact this board will have a significant impact on the future literature of the western canon.

I don't see how it can, unless enough anons actually finish their work and get it published, or become editors and publishers themselves. The "western canon" is largely just what the Big Four companies decide to devote marketing dollars for.

i´m pretty sure there will be great artists in the future that would´ve frequented /lit/, is the only place on the internet where you can talk about religion/philosophy/arts/etc... without having a homogeneous worldview

like >>20757035 said, there are definitely at least a few anons here who will go on to be prominent writers in the future. Anons one hundred years from now (either here on 4chan or on whatever offshoot/rebranding of 4chan will exist in one hundred years**) will speculate about the famous writers of the previous generation that lurked /lit/ in the early 21th century. I wouldn't be surprised if some autists in the future dig through the archives and try to figure out which famous writer posted what, or going through the books /lit/ has published (Coronameron, Hypersphere, etc) and trying to determine which prose-pieces were probably written by which authors when they were younger.

To all the anons who are either currently serious writers, or wish to become serious writers in the future: Hello! Only time will tell which of you make it into the history books and ascend into the western canon, and which of you get relegated to the back rooms of dusty used-book stores and Amazon Kindle pages with only two reviews, but hey, what can you do.

**An interesting speculation, but in all likeliness 4chan will be dead one hundred years from now, and a multitude of image-boards will spring up and one or two of them will take 4chan's place. Anons and newfags on those boards will probably lament the fact that they didn't get to "browse 4chan in ye olden days" and everything about 4chan as it currently stands will be romanticized by those who never actually got to visit it for themselves; of course, word-of-mouth from oldfags and 4chan refugees who will migrate after it goes down will be valuable, but for the most part, it is very likely 4chan will live on primarily through the archives.

Even if the site influences future relevant writers I doubt they would admit it in public cause normies fear this place unless it's some black author talking about his experience growing up in a nigger spam infested mongolian cartoons forum or some shit.

I think you are severely estimating how many black anime autists exist in the U.S.A. Every otaku board is crawling with blerds.
