F Gardner is the biggest of the “/lit/ authors” probably since he has an entire book series. but Call of the Crocodile isn’t his best work.Both Jigoku and Call of the Arcade are leagues superior to that.

Never read Cat’s Nine so I’m not sure if it’s the same thing, but I doubt it. It’s basically the fantasy version of Chernobyl. It’s a man-made supernatural disaster that the government is working hard to cover up due to international conflict between bordering countries.

They basically discovered another dimension full of Lovecraftian horrors and tried to “nuke” it with this spell, but everything went horribly wrong.
