>> No.2068338

The twist is, they're not very gallant at all.

>> No.2068346

is that the one with the creepy guy who masturbates over the kid or something and changes his attitude from conservative to liberal?

>> No.2068353

Subtlety is key, especially for the subject matter. The two swindle the wench when all she wishes is a stable relationship: the disgrace is in all three parties, however. The woman endorses Corley's greed, Corley himself is the source of poor ethic, and Lenehan in remorse of his own paralysis of life, endorses also Corley's avarice.

>what the fuck happened to this world
it's a long story
but I agree, it's sad that people are afraid to tell strangers what they read for fear of being labelled arrogant

>> No.2068770

>>2068721

I do believe being arrogant constitutes a certain measure of flaunting, and reading a book in public is not considered flaunting anything in my books. Mind you, I mean sitting down and actually reading, not pretending to read and looking up to see if anyone's watching you. It's pretty obvious when you see it.
