Are there books that explain the conditions that produce mass shooters without resorting to smooth-brained "society bad" or "muh eros" non-arguments?

>> No.20645058

>>20645028

I'm sure that some reasoned studies exist by this point, but I couldn't name any. I don't consume current-year non-fiction. I also reject your blithe dismissals of the two points you named, just because the two causes (social malaise, lack of sex) are mentioned all the time to the point of being annoying/banal/trite, does not mean that they are void of truth content, which is what you're saying. You're just sick of hearing about those two points and you want to hear about others.

I suspect that a major problem which isn't being touched (and won't be) is single motherhood. It would be worth doing a chart about a hundred or so high-profile mass shootings (we certainly have the data by this point) to investigate whether dad was in the house or not, and the general climate in the household. Probably not a silver bullet, but worth looking at.

Fair, I suspected that the Columbine kids had dads around but couldn't be fussed to check, because they're only two data points. You seem to have missed the point of "statistical study". I suggested putting together something resembling a sample size (n=100).

The youth and race of the shooters are also categories of interest. Some weird white tranny looking kid does a few dozen on the north side and it's national news, meanwhile the same number die on the south side of a weekend (by multiple black perps) and it's just another weekend. The "school shooting" phenomenon as opposed to mass shootings in general (a much larger sample size is kept for the broader category) seems to be bound up with young, non-black men, or at least that's how it's imagined.

Yes, I understand very well that you, as an underaged* normie, are content to cherry-pick a mere three data points, not actually do the analysis, and personally make a lazy anecdotal conclusion about a sociological phenomenon. Fortunately (in a way), the problem has gotten bad enough that some people seem to want to turn serious attention to it, though I doubt any helpful policy will result.

Unironically, Americans are psychopaths and your, and the, culture of capitalism supports and encourages this. I genuinely think that if burgers had access to mental healthcare without any sort of stigma it'd eliminate some of your problems. There is a lot to fix with America. I'd start with a nuclear weapon and go from there.

America is the phallus-head of the world so obviously its sociosexual selection pressures are going to be the severest. It's basically a rage of the shudra phenomenon, excremental underclasses lashing out at *-typicals for being cruel and cool, except there is no caste system to mitigate that rage. I wouldn't even say school shooters are a failure of American culture, they are its very condition.

Muh gun control, muh armed security guards just misses the point so hard.

Based. I was a jock and bully in school and no matter how bad things get I remind myself that I went to parties every weekend and crushed virgin teen puss and most lameos were stuck eating corn syrup snacks in their basement playing vidya in a sausage party. It's what sustains me through the long, dark night of the soul that came after I got out of college (where I also got to party all the time).

Probably the best insight into this is the Breivik Manifesto, seeing as how it provides a lot of information and was written over the course of years; but it's a brutal read, and Breivik's story alone won't give the full picture.

Look into the actual, serious studies that've been done on the shooters and go from there.

>>20649367

This is a part of it, but there are ways to get attention for yourself that don't involve both mass murder and, best-case scenario, the guaranteed maximum sentence you can attain in your shooting location of choice.

>> No.20652318

Literally everything that gets to the public nowadays is designed as a stressor. All acts of noncompliance toward an increasingly nonsensical system are punished. The less tame people react to this in various ways including flipping out and shooting places. Ideally, society wants them to destroy their brain with antidepressants or kill themselves quietly. Literally nobody cares about suicides if they're not actively celebrating that white people are killing themselves in droves, then they're surprised and outraged when someone takes his anger out on the very people he perceives as enemies.

This is “conspiracy theory” territory but William Cooper’s “Behold A Pale Horse,” as well as an interesting apocryphal supposed speech and predictions of a Dr. Richard Ray from decades ago (can be Googled and found online) give some interesting speculations about it. The fascinating similarities are in that they’re both supposed “whistleblowers”, people who somehow became or got close to the “insiders,” the “insiders” of course having rather sinister plans and methodologies they don’t want made public. And both these texts, from decades ago, rather accurately predicted modern trends, but even saying this I don’t take both as necessarily 100% true, but still interesting to talk about.

And similarities in both — specifically such as in a supposed leaked manifesto, “Silent Weapons for Silent Wars” which Cooper included in the book — again, you can be skeptical about it — but it independently is rather similar to some of the concepts in Day’s speech. And that’s the war-of-attrition-style of the so-called “elites” against the masses. So it’s not immediately something open like gulags, concentration camps, armed guards in all neighborhoods and the like — this is too crude, too obvious, leads to revolt.

Rather, it’s about total spiritual and psychological warfare on multiple levels. Economic warfare, lowering the quality of life for everyone, destroying the housing market. Degradation of people’s psyches through sex, violence, drug abuse becoming normalized in TV shows, movies, the mainstream media in general. The news as a constant barrage and assault of “new bad things and crises happening.” Control of the education system and pushing a homogenizing ideology which subtly rips apart the fabric of society and attacks traditional ways of thought and life, but all of course in such a subtle, apparently “modern, compassionate, sensible, rational way” that it can’t be openly disparaged or spoken out against without making oneself seem like “an old-fashioned bigot” or “crank.” Control of the psychological health-care system and use of it to target potential dissenters — unhappy, rebellious kids get put on behavior-control drugs and the like.

So this leads to a society of grating, subtle constant wearing and tearing down of people’s psyches, as well as the background sense of some type of mocking, derisive laughter at “those paranoid, overly sensitive freaks and conspiracy theorists who actually think society is progressively being ground down into some totalitarian socialist homogenized smoothie state.” In this case, as >>20652318 rather accurately and independently put it, without even having reference to the literature I’m speaking of — certain sensitive people just explode and rage, wanting to kill NPCs/normies/masses who they essentially view as “supporting and being happily integrated into the soul-crushing system which wants to destroy me.”

(Cont.)
The interesting part about Cooper, decades ago — published in 1991 — was talking about how such acts, of random mentally ill “lone wolf domestic terrorists” opening fire on schools, public places and in the workplace and the like — would be used to justify passing restrictive gun legislation and the further construction of a surveillance state. So it was interestingly accurate. He also noted how many of the shooters were often on Prozac, an antidepressant which is known for having the potential drastic side effects of paradoxically leading to even WORSE depression, or of inducing states of mania in some people.
