If you take Marx and replace every single mention of "material" with "essential", that's essentially Haz's reading. I find this interesting because of his general nearness to cranks like Jay Dyer and milquetoast Conservatives like Academic Agent. He talks about a RETVRN to pre-Modern European philosophical ideals, which really just amounts to Thomism (not that there isn't more to Medieval and Renaissance philosophy than just Thomism, but we all know that when people say this they just mean Thomism), which in light of some of his other criticisms of Christianity and the like lead me to believe that he's sort of just attaching to it because the alternative is hanging out with the Pagans and doing Homework: The Religion, and that's really hard, especially for an Irishman who is unique in having one of the few societies where Christianity wasn't an actively hostile force.

I don't understand the appeal of Keith, Joel and the rest of the Telegram intellectual crowd. They don't seem to have any connection to IRL nationalist activists, and they don't produce content that's useful as metapolitics (like Counter Currents and TRS do). They seem to just to discuss obscure books and create highly elaborate justifications and theories for positions that everyone who reads them already agrees with.
