>Probs Gin and Tonic, but nothing beats the Irish liquers--Guinness, Jameson, Bailey's.

Oh god this so much. Been drinking gin and tonic all weekend. As for the Irish shit, who can argue with any of those?

>Will try Johnnie Walker's as my next buy. Should I go straight for the Black Label, or with the Red Label?

I think that Black Label is worth the few extra bucks. It's flavor is a little more refine; has a more mellow oak flavor to it. Red Label is still a really good scotch for its price, but it's not quite the same as Black. You'd have to try both to get it. As long as you're getting Johnny Walker you can't go wrong though.

>> No.2058792

>>2058789
Yeah there are typos there (forgive the brand) but I would definitely spring for the Black if it's your first time.

We should hang out sometime. I'm leaning towards red label, since I was thinking of getting some Russian Standard as well. I'm craving a White Russian, though I haven't had one before. And yes, I too have been doing a gin and tonic marathon this weekend.

Red Label is good to spring for sometimes since it you can get a decent amount for a good price and it still has Walker quality. I've been doing gin and tonic all weekend though (bombay sapphire and seagram's). Went to parties the last two nights, but decided to stay home tonight.

White Russians are alright. They get boring kind of fast though. Every once in a while my friends and I watch The Big Lebowski and go out bowling and get shitfaced off white russians.

I love Hennesy cognac, but can only usually afford VSOP. Ah well...

Otherwise, I'm into beer in a big way, usually your standard market lagers but preferably temno Czech stuff/ Bavarian weiss/standard lager on import. I had mead in Brno which was pretty sweet.

Licquers maybe Becherovka because it's nice and hard. Whiskey I'm not too fussy on because the more expensive shit tends to be undrinkably hard without the alcohol content to make up for it. Wine's not worth the effort in general, because it's expensive and not easy to sleep on.

Cheap mixing spirit of choice is gin.

Not so much actually, just cause i like my cocktails to be thick and rich (which sidecars often are, I know) but I also don't like them to be sweet or sickly. Brandy Alexanders and White Russians usually do the trick here I guess.

Usually drink beers from my area (e.g. Black Oak, Mill St. , Cameron's, etc...) or craft beer from Quebec and the east coast (hard to get west coast beer here).

As for hard liquor, White Russians, Black Russians, Bloody Marys, Manhattans, Negronis, just about any cocktail. Sometimes some whiskey or Grand Marnier by itself.
