Read faster. Try not to subvocalize while reading. It helps to use your finger or a ruler for a guide at first.

Best way to do it is to try not to subvocalise and to read as slowly as possible.
You need to be comprehending fully every single sentence you see.
If you do this for a year or so eventually the speed at which you can fully comprehend a book will increase and your comprehension will as well.
Also I drink 3 cups of coffee and 1-2 cups of black tea up until 10 pm so maybe that has something to do with it
