I think trying to blow up his personal issue into a social theory was an overreaction and part of his issue. Or as you'd say, a cope. He calls himself a creep the way blacks call themselves the nword, emphasizing the strengths of 'creeps' and the weaknesses of 'ideal adults' while at the same time clearly defining their places in a social hierarchy as low and high respectively.
You can't be married and have a sense of identity? You can't be emotionally autonomous and have a social circle? Why put yourself in a category when these things are fluid? When according to him the roles could be reversed as easily as grooming and dressing better, not being shy, and doing whatever else you need to do to earn respect.
