What's your favorite book of all time? Mine is I Robot by Isaac Asimov. It says a lot about society.

It's much harder to pick a fave book for me than a movies or anything else. For me it's because in order to compare books I would have to reread them both recently. This is much easier to accomplish with movies. There are also some books I read as a child like LotR that I haven't reread in decades. Hard to compare what I think of those books to something I read last week.

i wanna say Memoirs of Hadrian was the most transportive reading experience i ever had but i haven't read it in years. in any case it's definitely an exceptional case in terms of the circumstances of its authorship.
