Reaper Man. Cliche, I know, choosing a Pratchett novel, but really. How can you not love Windle Poons?

I prefer The Man Who Was Thursday, but that's a good one too. Damn is Chesterton good.

Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson.

I remember when it came out back in '06 and reading it in school during the start of an English lesson when we supposed to read for 10 minutes. I remember trying to stifle the laughter and in a really quiet classroom it's pretty obvious when you're making snorting noises and guffawing over the top of your book. In the end the laughter got to me and I just burst out in peals of laughter, I was asked to leave by the teacher but it was worth it.

The one that made me laugh the most was probably Hitchhiker's.

This is literally the only book that has ever made me laugh out loud. He goes to South America to collect animals for a zoo, and the natives speak in a hilarious form of pidgin English. One of them gets slashed by a huge cat, and says, "he done hurt me plenty!", which made me burst out laughing. Then later I felt bad for being such a dickhead.

"The Hippopotamus" by Stephen Fry

I was reading it during lunch in a shopping mall food court, and was apparently laughing so much a random stranger felt compelled to comment on this and ask what I was reading. So I told her.

To this day, I wonder if she bought the book, read it, and now thinks I'm some kind of weirdo.
