I want to get Mein Kampf. How do I make sure that what I order is not edited? Are there specific versions?

The Ford and Dalton translations are considered the most reliable and accurate ones. The only technical difference between the two is that the Dalton edition comes in two volumes. The Stalag edition is also an option, however, you should keep in mind that the original translator (who was a native English) left the work half done due to the outbreak of the war which forced him to return to England. The translation was finished by a German guy and from what other anons said, the final result was an incongruous translation filled with various stylistic inconsistencies and errors, the latter mostly, if not entirely, on the part of the German translator.

The actual Mein Kampf is infamous for being tedious. I recommend you decide your purchase based on which edition has the best annotations, but I'd also recommend one of the many great Hitler biographies out there before Mein Kampf, especially since key biographical details are rewritten by The Führer for the purposes of personal propaganda.

Dalton is the best. Guy is based as hell and wrote some stuff about Jews which got him banned from most places so it might be hard to find. There are also like 3 versions of his translation. One is 1 volume and is an abridged version. And 2 versions are in two parts. One is the English version and one with both the German text and it's translation.

If you can't get that go for Ford. Dalton is not great. Manheim is most often used by scholars but it is one of the worse ones.

You could have got Carl Schmitt, Henri de Man, Georges Valois, Edgar Jung or Ugo Spirito, but instead you started wanking on a book, whose depth and quality are worse than "Harry Potter".
