Why was *I* not informed?

I went in today, and it was the last day of their offer. Got a third book when the person behind the counter told me (like a boss (both of us)). Apparently they've had this offer for 2 weeks, I just hadn't noticed. I must be getting dumbed, lulz.

Has anyone else taken advantage of this offer?

I find though it's usually just certain paperbacks that are in the 2for3. I guess they changed it this time.
