Just finished this. What do we think of it?

It was good but it had a lot of filler for a short book. After reading it I couldn’t help but think that the judge was an alien or done other type of unworldly being

I see the judge as part human part idea, or the incarnation of ideas. Then again I’ve never read the book, but it’s great and the filler is there for you to get into the world of the desert and blood and violence.

For me, the judge is a representation of war.
It appears and dissappears out of nowhere.
Its cruel and unforgiving to anybody even children.
No amount of human struggle will end it, not fighting and not reasoning.
It lived, and it will live forever

There's a summary at the start of every chapter, what more do you need?

He was war. He encouraged everyone to embrace it and be brutal and the kid didn’t go full on and he paid for it.
