it pretty much started diverging right after s1 (which also wasnt 100% accurate adaptation) and when they run out of books it was completely different thing already anyway. A lot of characted was butchered, plotlines changed or abandoned and whole thing was "modernized" to appeal to soi sensibilities

Jon is likely Azor Ahai and will be the one to end Long Night 2.0. Cersei will probably get killed by Tyrion when he comes back to Westeros with Dany (bookTyrion is much more brutal and revenge focused than pussified show version). Dorne will switch to fAegon when he takes Kings Landing. Bran may end up on the throne but the road there will be completely different

I think Victarion is going to die brutally. I posted in a thread a few weeks ago about how he has a lot going for him, but honestly it's hubris. He's not going to put one over on Daenaerys even though it would be fucking cool.
Varys's days are numbered too. He's getting more brazen, killing Kevan Lannister himself. He should've stayed in the shadows.
My prediction for Dany was always that she was going to travel east to Asshai and continue right across the globe to arrive at Westeros from the west. I thought that's what the masked woman's prophecy was saying, and because Asshai seems important. Now I think Asshai will remain a mystery.
Stannis's story is going to end in tragedy but he's going fucking annihilate the Boltons and take Winterfell.
Littlefinger is doomed because he wants Sansa pussy too much, she's his blind spot. I feel like she could manipulate Harry the Heir to murder him for her, out of love.

A point about circumnavigating the the world, I don't GRRM would have us believe that an army could sail around the world through unknown seas, through continents if there are any, all the way to the western shores of westeros. It would not make any sense and I don't think it's realistic to think that possible for the time period they depict in terms of sailing advancements. It's a narrow sea for a reason. She will cross it.

The planet is probably much bigger than we think. Remember that one Targaryen bitch flew over Sothoryos for three whole years an couldn't reach its southern end.

That's something that drives me crazy, by the way, even on Earth you could go from pole to pole in a matter of months on a balloon, why couldn't a dragon cross a continent in three years?

sailing across the world doesn't seem practical either. the planet is bigger than earth, and we just don't know if there's anything significant between eastern essos and westeros.

people have attempted to sail west from Westeros and didnt end up in Essos. At this point we dont even know if the world is a globe or if there is some fuckery going on. In any case Daenerys has too little time and too much to do in Volantis and Free Cities to go even further east into Asshai, even though its probably really cool setting. She will likely start moving west after the battle is resolved in first few chapters

You're right I've accepted it. The prophecy "to go west, you must go east" clearly just refers to Dany's time in the slave cities where the point of it was to learn that her vision of equality is naive and she has to conquer and subjugate to impose her rule by force.

>Tyrion "I'll rape Tommen" Lannister
He lied, because he wanted to manipulate Cersei. Until his confrontation with Tywin, Tyrion is a nasty fucker, but absolutely brazenly against harming innocents. After Tywin's privy and journey across the Narrow Sea, he really leans into "Awr raw imma monster" persona - but it's blatantly obvious that it is a mask for his crumbled and traumatized state of being.

>>20432907
>but honestly it's hubris
If he had hubris, he wouldn't've knelt before Euron. He doesn't even respect himself - he only respects the Old Way and being a part of something greater in general. He'll die, but not in "fucked himself up" way.

>Varys's days are numbered too. He's getting more brazen, killing Kevan Lannister himself. He should've stayed in the shadows.
You don't know if he hadn't killed people himself previously.

On his blog he talks about how he wrote asoiaf to subvert the "happily ever after" trope. Winds of winter, then, should end with his happily ever after, and a dream of spring will be about watching it crumble, with many parallels to the first book in the series.

Would be funny if it ended on the happily ever after and then he never wrote the final book, sabotaging his original intent with the series. Of course I hope that doesn't happen, but it would still be funny.

Nothing about Children of the Forest and greenseers so far has ever suggested blood sacrifice as the foundation of a greenseer's power. They "sing the song of earth". They are among the few supernatural entities that are specifically not tied to eating babies or human sacrifice in the Westeros folklore. Unlike Maggy, the Ghost of High Heart doesn't need to drink blood in order to have her visions. Meera and Jojen swear their fealty to Bran by earth, water, bronze, iron, ice and fire, in that order - ever by blood. The Three-Eyed Crow pushes Bran to FLY not to EAT or sacrifice. In general, it's the First Men who brought bronze and blood, Andals steel and blood, and Targs - fire and blood to Westeros.

Jojen knows that the path they are taking will eventually kill him, ad that his death is something that Bran has to accept and work through if he's to be the Winged Wolf, but I don't see how it cab ever work out through "lol you gotta eat 'im", beyond grasping at the shadow like "SE SEE HE ATE THE ELK SEE PALE JOJEN IN A TRUNK IS LIKE PASTE JOJEN IN A BOWL SEE".

If anything, Brynden and Children feeding Bran Jojenpaste without him knowing only devaluates the sacrifice.

>>20434489
>On his blog he talks about how he wrote asoiaf to subvert the "happily ever after" trope.
