Eggplant guy? Walter? Mike Ma? Woolston?
Has anyone read their work? Can anyone tell me if it's good or not?Woodstock?
Pic vaguely related

F Gardner’s later works are better than Call of the Crocodile. At least based on Jigoku. But to be fair Call of the Crocodile and Jigoku are the only two I’ve fully read. Jigoku is legitimately good which surprised me. Call of the Crocodile is mostly just worth the read because of the weird mindfucky twist I always see memes. Whereas Jigoku is an all around good book.

*always see memed

Anyway I guess it’s no surprise Jigoku is good since it’s literally just gory Pokémon.

I read Eggplant. I really liked it but I was also kind of torn.
On one hand it is genuinely well written and fun to read. It’s also pretty ambitious for something written by an anon. But that made me realize the book is really not very transgressive or controversial or counterculture. I think it satirized a lot of things people here are critical of (decadence, degeneration, modern art) but other than that it didn’t feel a lot like a decidedly 4chan novel.
That said I did enjoy it. If you’re looking for quality work by anons it would not be a bad place to start. I’m hoping to read Mike Ma’s books as well, I’ve heard they’re not bad either.

I read Woolston's book, the second one, the newer one. I enjoyed it, the quality is definitely there. I've since ordered a copy of his first one. Hoping that's just as good.

In terms of a "4chan novel" I'd suggest Walter's book honestly, even though it's a slightly immature comedy novel. There are serious themes but the book doesn't take itself seriously. If you've been browsing 4chan since high school it's the kind of thing that would speak to you

This book has references to R.C. Waldun, Butterfly, and Hiro and F Gardner both are characters in the plot. Absolute insanity. F Gardner is portrayed as a beloved and world famous writer in it.

I read Limbo's Rainbow. It's the worst book I've ever read and not a horror book. I've read Card and Pseudo Bullkington, and they're almost as weak. Ma is okay. I'm reading Cinder's Xenos Depths, and it's okay too. I've yet to really see anything even good, but I have to read a few more books and I might even take a peak at the Australian's travel books.

His poetry is horrifically bad. He would do better as an essayist, or memoirist, as he does have interesting insights into things and a peculiar life.

Gardner is a sad hack, but even sadder are the idiots that promote him here constantly, as though it is the funniest thing to be so insincere and hold up an author who is clearly dogshit.

I respect Ogden and his Eggplant, because he's trying for something real, and not just a cash grab, although I don't like his work.

The best /lit/ author is the Australian guy who write those short stories for a small press. He shills his book now and then.

I expect there are better authors here than any we will ever know about though, as I imagine anyone with any self-respect but would never associate themselves with this idiotic waste of time.

Gardner’s good if you like pulp horror.

>> No.20421640

>>20421625
Pulp is infinitely better written, and it usually employs tension and atmosphere. Gardner doesn't write horror and doesn't make use of tension. He still doesn't even understand what a paragraph is.

F Gardner’s certainly one of the more “unique” horror writers out there. He has a style that is akin to creepypastas or people telling ghost-stories around a campfire. Meaning his books are fine for a quick scare.

I think you are right about the last bit. I've never seen a legitimate discussion of a book on /lit/ ever. Not even the lowest of the low bar of an accurate summary. I would never want my works read and discussed here because the quality of the discussion is garbage and the points themselves either erroneous or absorbed up the asshole of tptb's cultural psyop box. Nothing but buzzwords, tranny this or incel that, hamfistedly shoved into every conversation by mindbroken digital addicts.

I’ve been advertising my books but no one reads them. The scraps of feedback I’ve gotten indicate that they’re grammatically correct and structurally competent, so I think these qualify as decent /lit/ books.email zulualitspa@gmail.com for pdfs and epubs.
