>Back to February - the majority of the books are disagreeable - comments include "rubbish, drivel, garbage, madness, boring, sophist, slog, meh". Only one instance of "based"

Why do we read what we hate?

because I don't enjoy anything, and I forget books that elicit no emotional response

That’s you. I drop a book if I’m not getting anything out of it, or I’m not enjoying. Time is precious and there are too many books. Also, it’s a possibility you’re poor at selecting what you want to read. Take risks

either you're bad at choosing books, or you're some sort of neurotic

because you're ignorant, you have never toiled in Torah, otherwise you wouldn't read any secular books anymore

iI you spent 2+ hours every day studying and applying Torah with Rashi's commentary without doing anything else but going to the bathroom, for 90 days, I assure you you would find out what true happiness is: a lasting sensation of good feeling, only interrupted by sin. You would feel like an angel and realize the truth.
