Saw a thread here a few months ago about how to create your own insane person's journal. I don't know the exact term but it's when you fill out a notebook with random crap so people think you're a mad person.

Anyone know anything about it?

You saw the thread but didn't read it, and now want to make it again? Okay.

Sounds like a pretty generic recipe for a psychological novel.

There's a term?

I think "madman's journal" pretty much covers it.

What do you need to know? There's no particular formula for creating one. Pun intended when I say: just go nuts.

Well I remember people posting links and tutorials. A bunch of examples too.

Well thanks

well it depends what kind of madman
a paranoid schitzo's journal would be interesting. each chapter would start with a small, mundane thing that he develops into a gigantic conspiracy

I'm sure it would follow that the diary would resemble something like this.

Oh, I think the best guide for what you're discussing, OP, is probably "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare.

I mean, it's been 400 years and everybody is still discussing whether he's mad, or just pretending to be mad. He does, after all, warn Rosencrantz and Guildenstern ahead of time that he may need to put on an "antic disposition"----and Polonius is the one who says "though this be madness, yet there's method in't."

So in that case, OP, I highly suggest you go do some reading and learn how to tell a hawk from a hernshaw.

Stay up for 26 hours, drink six cups of coffee and then take two shots of vodka and a huge rip off a bong. Start writing.

Yeah 26 hours? Come on if you aren't already staying up that long on a usual day then you're a straight up pussy who needs to get laid.
