Anons call him a midwit because his books are written in a fun and humorous way.

Is this the book with a talking female insectoid? If so, it was that idea alone that made me stop reading it. It seemed typical teenage fiction.

Nah, I'm sure there was a female insectoid beetle in it.
I liked his writing style, but the idea annoyed me - it seemed ill-placed. Saying that, I only managed a few chapters so perhaps the story redeems itself.

Probably. I haven't read it, but his fantasy races include humanoid mosquitos, humanoid beetles, humanoid cactus, etc.

A talking female insectoid that dates a nigger. Mieville is a bigger faggot than gayman Morrison and Moor combined. He has obviously and unironically raped women.

The bird guy was the best character.

But then I would actually have to read the book, and I don't even want to do that lol

I also stopped reading when I got to that, and it wasn't that far in. Like the third page if I recall correctly.
