life and times of michael k + in the heart of the country are pretty popular. I thought his autobiographical was exceptional as well. but, those all pale in comparison to disgrace. start there. he won the Nobel because of it for a reason

Floating Opera and Lost in the Funhouse are great introductions. I'd say his not exit or entry but a simpler, but more enjoyable, version of Gass ir Gaddis.
