Read Gore Vidal.

He's obsolete, and his "historical" fictions aren't accurate at all. There is no reason to read him.

outdated literature, no thanks.

Read Cesar Vidal

>> No.20363821

He wasn’t so much a good writer as he was a good talker. He was great for tv but his novels are mediocre.

>put LGBT themes in your books at a time when that was still considered somewhat controversial
>blame homophobia for every time your books flop

Lmao, Vidal could be an entitled little bitch that couldn’t take (valid) criticism, that being said, he’s still one of my favourite writers. My favourites are the less pretentious stuff he wrote under pseudonym like La Mort en cinquième position and La mort l'aime chaud. His essays are also GOAT, and more influential than many people realise.

>debate Buckley by calling him a Nazi infiltrator
>claim trannies are out to rape men and turn women gay AND THATS A GOOD THING
>be celebrated as a great writer and speaker of the American counterculture
These people really play on easy mode, huh?

"Accurate" - as if this concept even exists. Let me guess you believe Lazarus came back to life?

His essays are great, I really liked Armageddon. Heard his fiction is lackluster
