>>20345418 is actually quite good. I would love to recommend The Invisible Man (Wells) for the antisocial experience but it’s explicitly Aquarian (no mistake he’s an isolated scientist damned by his pursuit of knowledge) and much better suited for Leo’s egoic whoring. I’ll admit I’m pretty shit on your axis, Gemini confounds me infinitely, but Sagittarius is somewhat more familiar. Ah yes you want to stay away from modern and new age astrology. Amorenes only tell good things about the signs and planets, because they want to please their customers, but traditional astrology was quite clear that for example the planet Saturn was negative. They usually hand wave it saying oh such and such is not actually negative it actually means opportunity for growth or some trite bs.
A big give away whether an astrology book is for real or a fraud is whether they include planets like Uranus and Neptune. Traditional astrology ONLY works with the seven classic planets.
I’m going to give pic rel a try but I can’t recommend it because I haven’t read it. Try looking for books published before the 20th century.

Anon knows his stuff, though the consideration of the transpersonals doesn’t need to be thrown out entirely, just tempered with classical perspective and rectified in contemporary observation. They’re certainly the least important and often trivial entities to observe, some asteroids are arguably more significant.
The way I tend to advise normalfags is to consider the theatrical roles of the heavenly bodies, actors in the grand scene. Houses are settings dictated by the influences of their rulers, and signs are the deliberate choice of lighting & soundscape as dictated by the respective rulers. The qualia of a scene reaches far beyond the actors within it, and their temperaments & presentation are infinitely altered by what settings they inhabit. Their interactions with each other are often dictated by where & when they meet (e.g. aspects & placement). Everything has a “feeling”, “color”, or “flavor” tinted by the autismo-cosmic trigonometry.
To reiterate: Don’t just dwell on the sun sign, focus intensely on how it’s aspected by the other personal planets (through Saturn), and where these interactions take place. It’s all intuitive Olympics.

Hey, I'm a semi-professional astrologer who normally posts over on /x/(don't tell them I came here).

For anyone who wants to learn astrology in depth, I recommend taking Demetra George' historical survey approach to heart and take the study of the history of the astrological tradition seriously, ideally starting with the very earliest texts like Ptolemy, Vettius' Valens, or Hermes, and then moving on to some of the later Arabic and medeival sources to see what stays consistent.

For anyone interested in learning who doesn't want to do a huge amount of homework, I always shill Vettius Valens' anthology to beginner students because I'm a big fan of Hellenistic theory and practice(wholesign houses, classical aspects, the lots). I don't know how wise this is since Valens' is a bit... melodramatic... but it works.

Alternatively you can always come to browse the regular /astro/ threads we have over on /x/. The threads themselves have too many querents and not enough readers, but we have an extensive list of classical, medieval, and more contemporary authors with some links to free sources provided in the OP

I got most of my knowledge of the tarot from youtube + Carl Jung + Alleister Crowley. What I've found is that the most effective way of learning accurate tarot reading is to begin with the understanding that you are communicating with a higher force that is willing to entertain your questions, and provide answers through a symbolic system. Really, that's the fundamental premise behind all divinatory systems, but tarot cards are especially potent with this knowledge in mind because they allow you to use symbolically dense visual media to derive complex, insightful answers, oftentimes not only about the question itself but also the circumstances surrounding it, including your own motivations and conceits surrounding the matter - a thing which can also be derived through horary astrology, and in fact many horary texts go into detail about discerning the motivations, conceits, and circumstances surrounding the querent.

Beginning with this knowledge will allow you to side-step the most classic rookie mistake, which is to become married to the conventional definitions of the cards populating the modern cultural landscape. Once you depart from any rigid definitions of the cards and practice, you can understand that this is just a language which can be learned, then bent and manipulated to receive a greater bandwidth of information than you could otherwise. With this said, you should still learn from others about what they take the meaning of the cards to be, because like astrology, the fact that these symbols have arranged themselves in an intelligible language is meaningful in itself, and you can't bend the rules without knowing what they are.

So, learn from a book, or a master, or the internet, however you may choose, but never take the understanding of another as gospel; the symbols are there for you to use as you choose, and if you want to understand the messages you receive with the maximum clarity, you must understand them on your own merit. Never forget that the context in which a card is drawn tells you as much about how it should be interpreted as the card itself; the same five of wands might signal sorrowful discontent one day and boiling fervor the next. Still, in both instances it shows change in spirit by the principles of numerology and the temperaments, at least when I pull it. Perhaps next time I'll find it slightly changed, who knows?

Oh yes, and experience is the best teacher. If you want to learn how to use this, you have to be willing to trust your own interpretation and intuitive faculty to make decisions, which can be quite harrowing the first few times around. Still, in my experience, the cards are always right when you don't listen to them. This is quite frustrating when they make bad omens.

I have a cap moon as well, and I think DQ certainly works for that, but your Cancer sun would demand a more earth-centered character on a similar journey against the material grain — Siddharta (Hesse) honestly isn’t a bad place to start, though I’d argue his story is more of a Taurus-sun origin. The idea is to strive for an opposite-oriented character going through the sort of development you perceive yourself to need for balance. I’d strongly recommend looking at your North & South nodes and reading up on the whole past debt/present burden concept applied to the axis they lie on. Understanding that makes the concept of axis easier to understand everywhere else.

Thank you. What you described sounds about right from what I gathered from my research. The symbolism in the cards is very important, and the readings can very between one type of deck and another due to the images printed on the cards. So, it's a good idea to learn the symbols of your deck of choice, whether it's Marseille, Rider-Waite, or Thoth, along with learning tarot in general. Personally, I'm going with a print of a 1659 edition of a Marseille deck, and waiting for a couple books on the Marseille to arrive.

It's true because some people want it to be true so badly that they would be willing to suffer character defamation or worse, to defend it. Going into the future if and/or when we have cybernetic body modification, I'm sure some people will have the gaul to physically battle one another to 'machinedeath' over their opinions on astrology. That meme of a zoomer e-girl going sksksksk as she pilots a killer drone from her gamer chair is basically the mental homonculus of a girl in 20 years time. As I believe in the past perhaps some wars have been fought with insights gained from astrology, it only follows that the same will happen again.
There is, in fact, no astrology at all, not even an astrology to refute. There is a convergent 'evolution' of similar ideas that have congealed together following the principles of nature. It's reasonable that you are at least aware of the potential of any system to unleash it's rules upon the world.

Astrology is the ancient practice of recognizing global and personal patterns as they apply to certain cosmic arrangements. It’s really not that woo woo if you actually look into it and don’t automatically dismiss it for no reason

J.P. Morgan was once quoted saying
“Millionaires don’t use astrology, billionaires do”

It’s like Scorpio women set themselves up for failure.
My gf’s little sister is a Scorpio and (besides always looking like she wants to kill you, except when she jokes or smiles, then immediately goes back to giving you a hostile look) she doesn’t want to go to college and will most likely end up in poverty when her parents are gone.
A female friend of mine had the opportunity to go to college and majored in two meme courses (while her brother studied medicine). Hadn’t she inherited some money, she’d be experiencing hardship. She was into drugs when she was a teen, now she’s a hardcore evangelical.
Another female almost quit engineering for no apparent reason, if her boyfriend hadn’t taken her by the hand and almost led her all the way to graduation.
Scorpio is the black sheep in the water sign family. Pisces have their idealism and spirituality, cancers like to get cozy with their family, while Scorpio is shut in their little world, thinking of God knows what, brooding venom (for themselves?). They are given to fanaticism and extreme views, be it in religion or politics. They are dark.

Oh yes another Scorpio female I know likes to bring home and take care of stray dogs. Her self and home are always smelling of dog and it is as if she comprises in arousing disgust in and shocking other people with her foul smell and language. She’s also a vegetarian and a feminist.

I have to say that as a scorpio, one thing I absolutely treasure is secrecy. I give out false names, lie about the most stupid and meaningless things, never reveal my true thoughs and feelings,...

I delight in having secrets, in knowing that my inner mind and thoughts remain guarded, safely away from everyone else.

Books for this feel? or books for a scorpio in general?
