Why was it? Was it because you'd get reincarnated as a woman or worse, and forced to live life once more until you get it right?

that's a nice way to postpone your suicide. you can decide it in your 30's and only do it in your 50's or 60's because you were writing your suicide note.

Out of boredom, maybe. Papers like that and Twoarmsandahead are just attempts to shift the blame in every which way possible. By the end of it, they're killing themselves out of spite rather than for any legitimate reason.
Pic related is what a genuine suicide note looks like.

The reasoning used in that blogpost is obviously flawed if you undertake any serious investigation of how the Normans were generally successful. In Italy they were utterly disorganized and actually possessed inferior technology to the Byzantines, yet they shattered them mainly due simply to their superiority on the battlefield, both horseback and foot. Many of the Normans were well over 6'2 and heavily built, and there were many reports of their enemies simply fleeing before they engaged, whether Arab, Greek, Lombard, or other. Tancred de Hauteville, the progenitor of the Italian Normans, is also well known for having a dull wit. Robert Guiscard not so much, but the Normans were always at each others throats and did not really possess "social" or "organizational" intelligence in the way that some others did, notably the Greeks and Arabs. All of the Norman adventurers in Italy and Sicily were all very individualistic and even cutthroat, yet they still were able to completely dominate the area through sheer brutality, even when they were constantly trying to kill each other for more power and money. The same occurrences appear in England, most of the country is ravaged and destroyed after the initial success at Hastings. The difference being that in the case of England, the Normans really did possess superior technology, but that is still not really saying all that much.

I loved it, it repeats a lot and is filled with somewhat useless material but the start of it already provides most of its points.

I almost don't want to post this because having the book spread would probably increase suicides (ironically, my lack of willingness to recommend it would help prove the books thesis). However, chances are you'll be just like anyone else who seems to read part of it and review it. People get filtered by the will to life itself. Most people can't even grasp its points because the points are so anti-life. Being pro-life against the particular ways it argues are genetic and societal, so deeply ingrained people's brains can't process the counter-arguments without setting off "He uniquely was schizo/depressed/didn't understand" instead of engaging with the material.

Ultimately, I loved it because I could relate to it, and the author was smart enough to notice the problems inherent with life despite the inherent ignorance of everyone. I commend him for being above the crowd enough to do the unthinkable. But to prove his point, I'm still here after reading it so, don't kill yourself OP
