What are some must-read books to prepare for the upcoming years of political and economic crisis, famine and unrest?

>> No.20323686

Mein Kampf
We are one Great Depression away from going fascist
Kino is back in the menu this century boys

The comfy book is kinda boring tbqh, except for that one paragraph where he gradually starts to hate them, there's not much in there. A lot of sperging about the superiority of Germans.

I’ve seen this as an insult a couple of times now being used by obviously butthurt leftists. Which is just the usual co-opting of insults like snowflake, soi, etc…Ironic that the candidate that you allowed in just to stop Trump ended up being worse in many ways.

>> No.20323999

anarchist cookbook is crap, if you want to know how to build weapons and live like a hobo without dying of hypothermia you unironically will have better luck and a more efficient time watching youtube videos than reading books. and you will have much better success during times of strife through economic action than reading books. and if you must read philosophy, history, economics, anthropology, and geopolitics are what you want, not survival manuals.

>>20323727
this actually isn't true at all, this guy hasn't read it. the first half of the book is largely autobiographic and the second half is largely sociopolitical, and an immense range of topics are touched upon. I don't think anyone who isn't actively and demonstratably interested in both history and sociopolitics would enjoy mein kampf though. it is however a must read for anyone who wants to have a remotely valid opinion on WWII history.

Well it was a start. I don’t have a chart for you.
Yeah this >>20323962 and uncle Ted. Gelderloos maybe so you can maybe talk some pacifists down
But you’re going to need to know a lot of survivalist stuff and develop some organizational skill. You can be a substantive farmer for the immediate community, a mutual aid organizer, or a militia man.
What kind of field you want to do?

Torah and acts of kindness, your merits in heavem will be the only thing that will matter

No one will own anything when the moschiah comes, not you, not the billionaires, not anyone else, everything will be the same price and everyone will be broke

Buddhism really has nothing to do with living off the land, monks live off of lay Buddhists that donate food as alms to generate karma
Judaism/Christianity probably has more to do with living off the land than Buddhism, given all the instructionals we get for funny desert survival things in the Old Testament
Daoism functions fine in there though

See, it's even a New York Times bestseller! Reading about this book tells me there's a whole chapter on the Jewish rebellion against the Roman Empire.

Also he apparently shits on the Nazis a lot for sucking at counter-insurgency.

The readers reviewers are funny though.

>Did not finish. The history may be OK but once it gets into more modern stuff it simply becomes a mouthpiece for the official version of American foreign policy. Waste of time and money

>> No.20325753

Individuals can only live off the land and their supplies for short periods of time and in a meager lifestyle till they either give up or die young. There’s no absolute self sufficient life, we band together or live short brutal lives.

>>20325687
Nice hat.

>> No.20325776

Like... it's obvious that whoever made the "Reading List of the New Awakening" has never actually read that book or must have included it by mistake, because including a book written by a Jewish neocon in your Nazi reading list is pretty embarassing. And if the chart maker didn't read that, how many of those other books did he actually read?

Doesn't change that Buddhist monks don't live off the land in any sense. It's not that they aren't self-sufficient, it's that they are entirely anti-self-reliance and are by their own rules required to live off the donations of others.
I don't think that there's something inherently wrong with that, but I do think it kinda makes it goofy for them to be in a chart like that.

How is he bad? People keep saying this but he seems to be fixing all the problems the uneducated mongrels brought it. All the past few years have shown me is that some Americans are just too stupid and uneducated to be treated like adults. I have a new found distaste for my people and know that to save America and maintain our superiority over the vapid cess pit that is the rest of the world I may have to accelerate some things. Pity.

No, like >>20325948 said it's just a pronunciation/transliteration difference. Some translators call it the Dao and Dao De Jing, others call it the Tao and Tao Te Ching.
