I've done all the education I want to do at this point in my life but miss having a group of people with whom to discuss literature.

Where can I find a reading group of people who don't want to read about the evils of white people, YA, etc.? If it was about the classics or even semi-decent contemporary fiction, I would be content. Every goodreads or other online book group I've seen is laughable and a complete waste of time...

I would even be willing to pay to join such a group. And it doesn't matter if it's online or in person.

The closest thing I've seen is online great books, but $80 a month seems a bit steep.

You could start one for free and hope people join. If you get enough traction you could add a small fee and start a website. You could be the first to corner the market anon.

for example a discord server, in a forum, etc. The best way to do something you want to see done is to do it yourself. Btw if you do it, i'll join.
Otherwise you can create it irl but less people will join, you dont lose anything trying
