There is no valid argument against audiobooks over traditional reading. It's truly the superior form of literary consumption.

Plebeians now
> *snorts* he he I'm so much smarter than the average NPC! I waste time reading words instead of just listening to them so that I can feel better about myself! No, I don't actually care about content I just like feeling smart!

Both spend the same amount of time, listening still requires the same amount of attention to absorb it.

I like how readkeks constantly contradict themselves when trying to argue with audiochads
>b-but its slow!
>also champions slow attentive reading and hates speedreading

>b-but it's harder to pay attention
>doesn't realise that failing attention is his problem not the mediums

>b-but you can't backtrack and read slower
>doesn't know that 'rewind 10 seconds' button is present in every audio app

>b-but my classic crusty bookie dookie smellerino!
>doesn't realise that oral storytelling tradition precedes written literature

>b-but its not "shits himself* REAL reading
>doesn't realise that the purpose of written word is to preserve knowledge not relay it, and reading literature is akin to obsessing over a glass jar instead of the jam inside

It's faster but also more enjoyable to read. I think that vocalization of any sound at all is the biggest waste of time EVER.

I used to do audio books because I didn't want to read while gayming

But reading is faster, unless you're dyslexic. I'm not even talking about speed reading, just regular reading without voice acting, sound effects, dramatic pauses and laughing tracks that audiobook fans probably need to rely on in order to properly comprehend all the "subtleties" of the book.

Also, it was probably the slave philosopher that was doing both reading and sucking, all that oral stuff.
