>get called on to read out loud in class
>read oil filter as "dil farter"
>fake sick so I dont have to go back to school for a week
I have flashbacks about this every time someone mentions an oil filter

once accidentally read "raking" as raping, but it was more funny than embarrassing.

While reading out Othello in class I had the Iago part and accidentally said "shitadel" instead of "citadel". Still occasionally think of it years later.

I feel you OP.
I once faked being sick and got a week off school when I was about 10 because someone had written a better short story than me.

In 5th grade I "did" a report on Houdini, never bothered to read anything about him or even do the report, just winged it when I got called to go in front of the class to read it. I did not get far before the teacher stopped me. I do not recall the exact wording but the gist was that his mom named him Harry because he was so hairy at birth and all that hair tickled her private regions something awful on the way out. I am fairly certain I said "vagina" in an attempt to sound scholarly. I have no horrible flashbacks to this but I do often give a chuckle when going in front of people to speak.

Sorry I was such a pain in your ass Mrs Holmes, I was not trying to torment you.

In the 7th grade I did a speech in class about hiccups. The choice was random, I had to think of it on the way to school in the morning.
All the other students were laughing. I still dont know whether it was at or with.

I did competitive trivia in middle school and high school, and in eighth grade I answered a question about the river running through Washington, DC with "the pot-oh-mack" river, rather than "the puh-taw-mick" river, because I had only ever seen the word potomac in writing. My family still makes fun of me for it.

>all the girls in class laugh
