Thoughts on pic related? How should I go about getting the most out of this book? What should be read afterwards to build on it? Serious replies appreciated

I personally didn't like it. It attributes far too much about the power and discretion of bureaucratic heads, the unity of institutional elites, and individual corporate power in the age of the public company. I also thought it lacked rigor and assumed it's thesis rather than attempting to prove it, which relegates the work to a description of public and private functionaries in America. However, I will admit that I only gave it 100 pages or so and skimmed the rest, so let that to caveat my post.

Something short and easy and fun to read, The New Elite by Lebedoff

Christopher Lasch, The Revolt of the Elites and the Betrayal of Democracy

Also good to read standard stuff, like read Manufacturing Consent, read Public Opinion by Lippmann and Propaganda by Bernays, read about the Powell Memorandum and the Citibank memo.

seems like a quasi-troll post but this books topic is something I've deeply suspected being behind the whole transgender phenomenon. Transitioning isnt cheap.
