The point being what, that poverty breeds good literature? Or vice versa.

I think there is no topic here. I have read middle class writers who grew up in cushy safety but still managed to write with passion and grit. Likewise, I've read working class writers from whose typewriter flows an obnoxiously florid grandiloquence.
