Russia has never been a part of Europe as it exists or as it has evolved into today in anything but name. And Turkey is by definition Eurasian too. It's a mostly geographic label. Russia is probably the only long-standing powerful rogue state historically. The world (Anglo-Saxon world if you want to be more semantic, but there's little difference these days) has stood against Russia since the 19th century "Great Game" but Russia can never be truly defeated. Never.
There's a reason why mysticism and esoteric thought has almost always thrived there or worshipped Russia above any other state.
