WITH BROWNBEAR FEATURED AS THE TARD

>> No.2024721

I always post in this stuff but fuck I'm too tired to post my past read list. I'm the guy that pops up everywhere who likes russians, capsguy, you must remember me.

Now I'm reading some Poe. I like his poems. His prose is good, but his stories are of the most wtf-inducing nature. The one about the Asylum sounded like a joke that had gone on for too long, and thingum bob esq. seemed like a satire of the publishing industry but was still really wtf. Reminded me of DFW if you can believe it. His play is kinda cool.

But I like his poems the most.

I'll prolly follow him with either Fortress of Solitude or some Bukowski.

hahah yes, im the OP from that thread awhile back, can't believe you remembered.
I have read wells before but i was very little, i read war of the worlds in one of those illustrated classics books. I don't know if any anon remembers them, they were little hardcover books and they had an illustration for almost every page, very nice. I also had journey to the center of the earth by Verne.

The Metamorphosis - Kafka
I really enjoyed this. I've been wanting to read this for a while now but never got around to it. My only complait was that it was too short.

In the Penal Colony - Kafka
Not as good as The Metamorphose, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Macbeth - Shakespeare
One of my favourites from Shakespeare. His works are never dissapointing.

Current:
A Thousand Splendid Suns - Hosseini
A few people recommended this and said it was really good. Now I'm about 100 pages in and for some reason I just can't get into it. It just feels a bit... dull.

Next three:
I've yet to decide. Maybe Faulkner's As I Lay Dying, Joyce's The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, or maybe I'll reread Hamlet.
