I am so tired of everything I read being so sad and depressing

Someone recommend me a happy book that isn’t “Three Men In A Boat”

Canterbury Tales is the happiest book in the English canon.

Read Rabelais.
It's literally 1100 pages of dicks, farts, pussies, tit grabbing, ass slapping, burping, and greasy food. It is mega based. It's also the only book I've ever read that's actually caused me to laugh out loud. And I don't mean a sensible chuckle, I'm talking like a deep gut laugh where I was crying to tears.
It will make you realize things aren't that bad.

Read accounts of ancient Assyrian wars and go forth and subjugate your enemies. Delight in the sounds of their lamentations intermingled with the screams of their women.

Literally worse in every single way from Boat. The humor is worse, the plot is nonexistent, and it’s such a shameless money grab of a sequel that is retroactively shames the original.
