Be honest.

Have you read the meme trilogy?

This nigger can't even write proper English and you expect me to believe he read and understood Ulysses and Gravity's Rainbow? lmao

I read a half of GR when I first found /lit/ some years ago and bit on the memes. I bought IJ in December planning to start it in January but I haven't been in the mood for something that dense yet.

Still planning on IJ this year and maybe restarting GR, it was a hell of a book and I don't want to leave it unfinished.

Yeah he really fucked his credibility publicising those “books”. This guy makes videos like he’s a super genius literary buff yet he writes worse than a teenager

I read GR ten years ago and really dug it. I've attempted to read IJ twice, but got bored and gave up. I have no interest in Ulysses.

I forced myself to finish GR. Now I can say I've read it and that's the most I took away. What a shitpost it is.

No I haven't read them and I have very little interest in reading them. I don't care enough to spend hours of my time reading some 700-1000 page book full of gibberish I won't understand without some companion guide to accompany it. Too much effort for something I'm not even guaranteed to enjoy or care for.

Also fuck this pretentious dweeb, this dude is the type of nigga who probably sips on wine while wearing a scarf indoors reading some philosophy and considers himself a modern polymath

Feel kind of sorry for the kid. He used to always make videos about writing and literature. Now he's making videos about being "artsy", fashion design, and also seems to be going back to his roots with videos about education/learning.

Checked
IJ was the most enjoyable and the one I think I "got" the most. It is also the last I read of the three so it didn't seem all that difficult compared to the others
GR was the worst experience but after I finished it I found myself unable to stop thinking about it. Pynchon novels for me are like climbing a mountain, it is more fun to reminish it than actually doing it. Overall I would call it my favorite of the bunch since it got me into post modernism and hard books in general
Been procrastinating my re-read of Ulysses I planned for the centenary. It was the first one I read and while I really liked Circe and Penelope I didn't dig the rest of the novel very much, but I also admit that I wasn't really ready for it back then
Overall I have a positive impression of the trilogy. Glad I fell for the meme

IJ isn't difficult to understand for the most part. There's parts of it that I didn't, but I felt it was part of the point. For the most part it's coherent. The biggest barriers are the length and boredom.

did waldun and his gf break up bros?
they haven't mentioned each other in months, as far as I'm aware, and waldun has stopped wearing the ring he had when they were together.

I've read GR and Ulysses and there's no way on God's earth the author of 'L'Academie' learned anything from those books whatsoever. What a smug chink. A smink.
