Why is literature such a dead medium? The only stuff worth reading were done hundreds of years ago and everything after pales. Trying to be a writer today is a fool's errand.

If you like older books though, why don't you just write a new story in an older style? You seem to think you have enough taste to separate the wheat from the chaff, so why don't you put your taste to the ultimate test and use them to judge your own work? what? not creative enough? <span class="xae" data-xae="wot">🤨[/spoiler]

I mean, what are the odds? I was just rolling this whole time but I think I'm just going to buy it as soon as I have enough points to, this is so fucking ridiculous.

Sitting down and reading a book is a largely irrelevant historical aberration. poetry was written to be read aloud and drama was written to be performed

>poetry was written to be read aloud
why listen to instruments or poetry
when you can listen to them combined

Because one side of the isle you have braindead women and manchildren reading the most retarded and poorly written slop on earth and on the other side you have asshole pseuds pretending to enjoy reading le classic lit
When in reality the peak of the medium is 70s through 90s fiction but everyone ignores it and continues to join one of two gay groups
It's trannies all the way through and all the chad masculine fiction brothers have been ran out

I mean for fiction you're essentially correct, but there are still plenty of non-fiction books being released worth reading, although these are mainly political and from reactionary publishers such as Imperium Press or Counter-Currents, so depending on your political leaning that may or may not interest you.

You should try to be the best writer of the 22nd century, since the best artists only get discovered after their deaths
