Are there any good books on ancient Greek and Roman mystery cults?

there are a lot of good historical works on them but you will be disappointed anyway bc there is almost nothing known about the cults and so the historians in question mostly argue with each other about a few lines and fragments on a very technical level

The Golden Ass by Apuleius

currently reading "the secret teachings of all ages" by Manly P. Hall. He talks about various ancient mystery cults but I'm not sure if it's true. He sort of constructs a common androgynous figure like Baccus as the center of most of these cults which sounds a lot like Baphomet worship, so not sure if he's full of shit.

it's probably better to read the bible for actual spiritual guidance.

There’s no way into Elysium now that the christians cut us off from it.
Perhaps with a final blow to this age of Apollo will we find our way back.
