Thought you retards would appreciate this. This lines up with that chart floating around with average IQs for college majors, where I believe physics and philosophy also score the highest.

yeah this is gonna be deleted because no lit/ should have mentioned some dumbo philosopher on the side. Nice chart tho wish I was naturally interested in physics beyond the normie stuff

Well it's the least abstract "engineering" most colleges don't even offer that degree.

These charts are all ruined by diversity you have colleges giving free rides to women and minorities and this skews the data.

Never took the gre but if it’s comparable but on the math part I had a 630 or something for the math score and I think a 700-800 on the reading section, but my essay was pretty shit I only got like a 500 for that, my sat total was like 1800-1900. For my year think that was above average. In the end it kind of helped me because my hs gpa was shit.

I don't get it, the GRE sections are out of 170? What does this even represent?

Same here with low gpa and high sat in high school, I remember really wishing there was just a college entrance exam instead of the weird hokey pokey dance of college admissions in the US

Back in my day, the math and verbal sections were scored out of 800 and the essay part was on a scale of 1 to 6.

>> No.20111107

I tend to associate math with intellectuals ans physics with dullards. It's purely an impression without any hard data to back it up, but whenever somebody is introduced as a physicist I just know that this person is about to start saying some painfully obnoxious scienceisfuckingawesome shit.

imagine being so insecure you spend time thinking about IQ

>> No.20111400

mirin u high verbal iq fags.

>> No.20111403

On both the SAT and the GRE I got 98th percentile verbal and 50th percentile quant. College interviewer said she'd never seen such a disparity. I fucking suck at math and I never learned how to to long division. I also tried to use my eyes and fingers to measure shapes on the GRE even though it explicitly said that they weren't to scale. The consistency was remarkable however I guess those tests really do work
