have you ever had sex, OP?

>> No.20104462

I think that books absolutely should cover sex (it's a major component of the human condition), but actual sex *scenes* are generally a bad addition.

>it's a major component of the human condition
This has got to be the most dimwitted argument people make.
Masturbating, falling sick, taking a fat shit first thing in the morning, cleaning after yourself, being bitter and petty while arguing with loved ones, all are components of the human condition, but you won't see every single author making a point of including any of these activities into their work.
Why? Because they're skillful enough that they can build a 50k-words story without utilizing the most basic crutch in the history of all art

Sex obviously has major implications for the others parts of life, retard. And it isn't something everyone does every day, it happens sporatically and in connection to dramatic events and thus does have that element of profundity.

You honestly shouldn't write novels at all as a virgin. I'm not trying to be a cunt, it's just the truth. You don't have the necessary 'worldliness'

I also couldn't read books with sex or characters who were romantically successful/sought after until I got older and experienced romance enough to quash my insecurities/allowed me to relate enough to enjoy the story.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Absolutely fucking not, fucking an escort isn't what you need to get this worldliness of losing your virginity.

Go get a girlfriend preferably, or some slut you can have a one night stand with.

Problem is that I'm ugly, borderline retarded, autistic, and lack a social circle to aid in social lubrication. I'm not trying to get pity points or anything, I think I have pretty good self esteem, I'm just trying to be honest with myself and the limited options I have. I could always try getting fit, and I probably should do that regardless, but I heard it doesn't really help much in the way of attraction.
